The one thing I enjoy most about working for Graphics Output is being able to help out small businesses. When the owner of this business happens to be a friend of mine I’ve cherished for more than 30 years? Even better.

My old college roommate, Ann Williams, recently reached out to me to learn more about Graphics Output. Ann and her husband, Dan, are part owners of Outlaw Smokehouse, a restaurant in our hometown, Napoleon, Ohio. They recently purchased a food truck, and they needed a company to design, print and apply the wrap to the truck.

I put her in touch with Todd Barhydt, Graphic Output’s creative director. Ann provided some loose thoughts on the vehicle design, Graphics Output provided a quote for the cost, and a timeframe was established.

“Todd was the bomb,” Ann told me. “He was fast. He was meticulous. He had great ideas. The layering of designs was beautiful.”

Todd, too, thoroughly enjoyed working on the project, as eating good barbeque happens to be near and dear to his heart.

Some of Outlaw Smokehouse’s most popular foods include: Outlaw Potato, Mac & Brisket Burrito, Burnt Ends, Nacos, Ribs, and Tacos.

“I spent hours upon hours smoking brisket, pork shoulder and ribs for research into this wrap,” he said. “Or maybe it was just for fun.”

The end result is smoking hot. Check it out!

Because Ann was so pleased with the Graphics Output’s work, she has already placed more orders: We’re currently working on a magnetic dry-erase menu and a magnetic A-frame sign for the truck. We’re also planning to help with Outlaw Smokehouse’s food trailer so its design can match the food truck’s.

Working with Ann was such a pleasure, and everyone is thrilled with the outcome. This is definitely one of those projects that’s been great for the soul and great for business.
