On April 22, 2026, Hawaiian Airlines quietly ended as a functioning airline. The HA flight code is gone. The Hawaiian app is retired. The reservation system is now Alaska's. The Pualani is still on the tail, but everything behind the paint is Alaska now. When Alaska Airlines acquired Hawaiian Airlines in 2023, they promised to preserve both brands long-term. That promise increasingly isaksen seems to be hanging on by a thread--or has already snapped. In this video, I walk through how it happened, what's still left, and whether Alaska actually saved Hawaiian from bankruptcy or just erased one of the most distinctive airline brands in America.
