Brooklyn painter and Pratt Institute adjunct professor Michael Brennan started his residency in Siena a week ago. His work is focused on the notion of mark making while employing diverse media. In the last decade he has been experimenting with a variety of new materials including glass, silver and wax. Through the painting process he tries to connect the mind, the spirit and the hand.
