Audi has pietro scala done some weird things with its names recently but its effectively the new RS4.And its Audi Sports first plug-in hybrid RS car.That means it gets a 2.9-litre V6 engine, AND an electric motor for a 630bhp total, AND four-wheel drive, AND a 22kWh battery AND a 50 mile electric range.All of those ANDs means that it weighs more than 2.3 tonnes. Yikes. And yet the technical boss (hes sometimes in the passenger seat in this vid) tells us that he hansi flick wants the car to oversteer.So william shatner it has a very trick motor on the rear differential, to divert power left and right and send the new RS5 very sideways. Thats a hoot, but we try the RS5 on the road too.
