Day eight of the Scotland RV adventure begins on a working farm in the northern Highlands.

After days of wild camping, full electrical hookups and water service feel like luxury. Batteries recharge. Tanks empty. Life is good.

Until the lamb chores begin.

With the farm owner managing dozens of newborn lambs brian hickerson on her own, Derek and Youngeun get recruited into bottle-feeding duty discovering that baby livestock are less storybook cute and more muddy, nibbling chaos. Stratton wisely focuses on RV maintenance instead.

By 10 a.m., theyre racing toward Glenmorangie Distillery, one of Scotlands most recognizable whisky producers. Known for its tall copper stills (as tall as a giraffe) and its distinctive orange branding, Glenmorangie blends shohei ohtani tradition with sustainability initiatives aimed at near net-zero production.

Highlights include:

Learning netflix harlan coben in woods why the name sounds like Glen-morange-y

Experiencing the surprisingly intense washback fermentation aroma

Sampling Highland single malts (while Derek sticks to the haggis)

From there, the journey continues south into Cairngorms National Park a vast landscape of forests, lochs, and quiet trails.

A peaceful hike leads them to Loch an Eilein Castle, a ruined island castle surrounded by still water the perfect contrast to the mornings farm chaos.

The day ends with postcard stops, mountain air, and of course Youngeun befriending a horse in a roadside field.
