Instead of spending almost 50 hours by train, I took a 3-hour flight for around 7,500.The real adventure began the moment I landed. It was my first time seeing so much snow. I experienced -30C to -40C temperatures for the first time. My internet stopped working. Airport taxis were too expensive, so I reached the city by local bus for just 300 Rubles. I checked into my hostel using only printed booking details because I had no internet. I experienced Polar Night, where the sun doesn't rise during winter. The biggest highlight of this journey was chasing the Northern Lights.Without any pre-booked tour, I found a local operator through my hostel, negotiated the price, and joined a small group heading deep into the Arctic wilderness. As we drove far away from the city lights, surrounded by snow-covered forests, the temperature dropped even further. At nearly -40C, my iPhone completely shut down, my hands started freezing within seconds, and filming became almost impossible. Thankfully, I managed to capture a few moments on my Android phone before enjoying one of the most beautiful natural phenomena on Earththe magical Aurora Borealis. In this video, you'll experience: Moscow to Murmansk Flight My First Snow Experience Budget Travel in Russia Hostel Stay in Murmansk Polar Night (24 Hours of Darkness) Northern Lights Tour Life at -40C Arctic Photography Local Market Walk Real Winter Life in RussiaIf you're planning a trip to Russia, Murmansk, or want to witness the Northern Lights, this vlog will give you a real experience of what it's actually like.
