It rained most of the day, our waders leaked, the mud was unbelievably slick, we fell more than once, and the fishing was painfully slow. We had to move locations, boats were working close to shore, birds were everywhere, and many anglers had already packed up and headed home.But in the end, none of that mattered.We were able to catch 8 beautiful sockeye salmon, process them, put them on ice, and deliver them to people who truly needed them. That's what this trip was all about. One of the things we love most about Alaska is neighbors helping neighbors.
