Her sculptures, installations, and prints become powerful totems exploring issues of gender, race, heritage, and history. In 2016, Randolph College acquired Saar’s woodcut "Backwater Blues" (2014), included in the exhibition, "Investigating Identity: Race, Gender, and Sexuality in Contemporary Art" (on view Feb. 3 - April 9, 2017).
