Jason Meade Retrial: Former Franklin County Sheriff’s deputy Jason Meade is on trial for the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Casey Goodson Jr. in December 2020. Meade pleaded not guilty to murder and reckless homicide charges. The first trial in 2024 ended in a mistrial after a jury failed to reach a verdict.
