Chick 2 was resting most of the day as hatching is very hard work. Chick 2 consumed the yolk sac in the egg prior to hatching which contained dense nutrients & is sufficient for the chick until it is strong enough to hold itself up to eat from the parents beak. The video opens with Shadow brooding the chicks. He will get up and begin his first feeding of the day to chick 1. Chick 2 was still resting throughout this feeding. Shadow offers small bites to chick 1 and did a great job! He then returned to brood them. Jackie flies in with a fish and she gets to eat some of it before standing over Shadow & wanting her time to brood the eaglets.
